It was the desire of a group of Southern Pacific General Office employees located in San Francisco to organize a sporting club for the benefit of all employees interested in outdoor recreation activities. In May 1934 the Southern Pacific Rod & Gun Club became a reality with the objective to bring together in one harmonious group the many anglers and hunters along with other employees of Southern Pacific Transportation Company and affiliated companies, interested in outdoor recreation. |
